Yes, those photos you’ve seen are real.
More than 18 years ago, a baby named Lamine Yamal and his mom Sheila met Lionel Messi at a UNICEF fundraising photoshoot.
Today, their achievements on the pitch inspire millions. Off the pitch, both Messi and Lamine Yamal use their voices and platforms as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors to support and advocate for children around the world.
The goal? That every child survives, thrives, and fulfils their potential.
We are proud to have them on our team.

.@marccrosas: "At Barça, Messi wasn't enough because it was his comfort zone and he had Xavi and Iniesta."
"In Argentina, he lost finals in extra time or on penalties despite being the best, and they called him 'choker'"
"Then, they invented the Villarato, Negreira, and now they are talking about Infantino... ALL these excuses to avoid admitting that Messi is the GOAT."
Messi completed nine dribbles vs. England, the most any player has completed in a single match this World Cup.
It's also tied for the most he's EVER completed in a World Cup match.
39 years old 😨
Reporter: "After the match agains Egypt, you told us: "God had a plan for me." Do you think he has another plan for you?
🚨🗣️ Leo Messi: "I don't know, honestly, after everything we've been through, we can't ask for more than that."
"Just playing another final is an amazing thing. God is great, and he always has something else, but honestly, I can no longer ask God for more."
"I am grateful for everything God has given me, whether in my sports career or in my personal life."
"And as I always say, as for the rest... It will be God's will. God knows."
🚨 Leo Messi: "To the fans, I say the same thing I said in Qatar: enjoy it. This team will never let you down.”
"This World Cup has been absolutely crazy, and reaching another World Cup Final is incredible.
“Even though it was a football match, from the moment the national anthem started we experienced something special. This wasn’t just another victory, the Argentine people desperately wanted it.”
After this tournament if you say with a clear conscience that Messi is not the greatest player you've ever watched you're lying. Walahi you're lying. I give up.
When Messi ask for the ball, they give him. When Messi comes close they leave the ball for him.
Authority. King of the pitch.
I've been saying it since that Messi carries this team, not the team carrying Messi.
Argentina will play in three World Cup finals in the Messi era.
And he led them as their captain, their top scorer, and their best player to all three finals.
Only 6 players in all of history can boast of playing in 3 FIFA WC final matches; none can boast of being their team’s best player in all three.
Do you know the crazier bit? Messi has won two FIFA World Cup player of tournament awards and he will certainly win a third regardless of what happens in the final.
He is above and beyond all. Past, Present and foreseeable future.
