So last evening on my way back from Entebbe, I got a random phone call from this number random number [phone] and this guy knew some stuff about me, he told me he was recommended by a mutual friend from Tanzania and he was in Uganda for holiday so he needed me to recommend a transportation guy to hire a vehicle from so that he can move his family around, I recommended one and shared his number … I even left the guy a text thinking I had gotten him business, well they got intouch and agreed … an hour later, he calls me saying the guy isn’t picking his calls, they agreed to meet at Sheraton, I was like he isn’t serious… I tried calling him too but he didn’t pick up .. then he told me that’s not the problem, he said the problem is he sent the guy 200K, I asked him for what? He was like he said his card wasn’t working and he urgently needed airtime of 200K to use on his Vacafone line, I said eh … and you sent it to him? He said yes bse I trusted you 😳 … I just told him gwe bakufeze.

so now we are both in a dilemma cos he wants me to pay him back the 200K, I’ll leave it to the court of here, I’m I at fault for recommending him for business? Is he at fault for trusting me? Is he at fault for not confirming with me first? Im I obliged to pay him?

One thing for sure the Mufere did his homework … never trust anyone when it comes to issues of money no matter who it is, always double check.
