Lifting weights makes you slow. Gotcha. So basically, everyone in the NFL is slow? How about LeBron James? Serena Williams? Righttttt. “HOW” you lift, “WHAT” exercises you do, and “WHEN” you do them determines speed🏃🏽♂️💨
Deload Week > Whole Week Off
Movement is medicine. Next training cycle, take 1 week to cut your volume & intensity in half. Your technique won’t suffer (like shooting a bball after not practicing for a week) and it’s WAY BETTER active recovery.
For the last 5+ years, I’ve wanted the Knicks to be at least .500. They worked their way back to that but they’re 11th in the EAST?! Wtf! Lakers with Bron are .500 and in 7th in the WEST. This is real pain for your boy 🤦🏽♂️
4 seasons in sports: preseason, in-season, playoffs, off-season. Intensity changes with each one. Training SHOULD be similar. You can’t lift heavy all year & you can’t hit volume all year long. Adjust accordingly. Nobody can be in playoff mode all year long.
Just b/c you took an mma/boxing/kickboxing class doesn’t mean you know how to fight. You need “REAL APPLICATION” just like anything else in life. That’s like me saying I can hoop b/c I’m nice at NBA 2K lol.
