Curry Barker may turn his $800 YouTube horror movie MILK & SERIAL into a larger feature film.

Barker tells @THR, "Milk & Serial is probably going to happen. I wonder if there’s an opportunity to bring somebody else on [to direct] and I’ll produce but not necessarily direct."

"I want to make a new generation of people scared and give them this feeling of: 'What if you went on a road trip with your friends and this happened to you?' I want to capture the rawness and the grounded-ness of the original"

"I wouldn’t be interested if I didn’t think I could find a way in that feels fresh and new, while still respecting the original. The canon itself is all over the place, so there’s not much to stay loyal to other than the original"

He watched all 10 films in the franchise to prepare for developing it:

"Some of those movies just turn out to be a guy with a chainsaw chasing a person around. It doesn’t work to just have a chase movie. They’re hiding in a barn. It gets old. And I don’t buy it — a chainsaw is loud but they don’t hear it? I hate when you’re watching a movie and you’re thinking, “Just do this [instead]"

Curry Barker's short film THE CHAIR paved the way for Barker to make Obsession, and the short may be expanded into a feature.

Barker tells @THR, "I think eventually it would be cool to bring a feature version of the haunted chair story to life."

“I don’t want to go straight into Obsession 2. I have such a cool idea for it that I won’t say. I’m not saying it has to be five, six years from now. But I think people would be just as excited for it if it came a little down the road. It’s a whirlwind and I’m trying to figure it out.”

According to EVIL DEAD BURN director Sébastien Vaniček, at least one brutally violent scene had to be trimmed a bit to get the film an 'R' rating.

He tells @SFXmagazine, "The director’s cut will be way more violent than what we will have in the theater."
