Trying to make some players' stats!
*disclaimer, work in progress! Data are subject to change cause there are mistakes here and there, but the end-to-end stack is there!

Always wondered how some people managed to get so few transistors on their designs? Here's a new guide from one of the top HC players describing a detailed, systematic approach! A must-read for all people in search of advanced optimizations.

Chip of the week 512 Bytes Memory Bank!
A very large structure (compared to the rest of the game) of latches with synchronous read and write flags, made by one of the best HC players as a showcase!

@blind_via@rhenescu People are right! This is a very time-consuming process to do by hand. Nowadays, you use libraries of standard cells with placement tools instead!
HC can't produce real-world chip data; it would take a converter of some sort to create something usable! HC is a learning game!
OCG1 Final Week! The 4-bit AndOrXorNot shift a bit the challenge to a more structural one, but there might still be place for logic optimisation, by the look of the leaderboard!
Here’s a quick start for week4: https://t.co/bwTLq3yx7W

OCG1-Week's leaderboard is seeing some reshuffling! AndOrXorNot Multigate gives some trouble!
Up for a (bigger) challenge? Rank #1 now before the week ends!
As usual, here’s a quick start for week 3 https://t.co/LQ53gI0bie #engineering#puzzle#tournament
Huge congrats to the winners of OCGv1 week 2!
🥇hallojasper - 98.8pts
🥈Gavaldor - 97.9pts

Adding a heatmap to see the render cost of each pixel is cool and very handy!
I should get rid of those red-hot spots 🤔. I already have an idea for reducing the ray-travel cost in empty spaces.
What optimization trick comes to your mind?#raymarching#indiegame#indie#render
Week 2 of OCG1, is surprisingly dynamic! Leaderboard is clearly showing some pattern!
The top player is a precise one! Up for a (big) challenge? Rank #1 now before the week ends!

🕛1h30 left for OCGv1, week1!🕒
Lots of sport and reshuffling in the leaderboard this week already!
Will you be the one who storms in a steal the first place at the last second?! Don't wait, everything is in your HC game, then Gauntlet! #competition#engineering#puzzle
Open Community Gauntlet v1, Week 1, is well underway! ⚙️
Players are already optimizing their designs, squeezing every transistor! 11 transistors for the win?
