Wow. Not wanting to hate but Backrooms is the opposite of everything I loved about Obsession. I feel like I’ve sat an exam set by someone who doesn’t know the answers. A smug, over-confident, one-note mess, not clever enough to intrigue or scary enough to thrill. Tiresome stuff.
