Was very happy to learn that the Gurdwara Sahib in the oil township is more than 100 years old. It stands as a testament to the contribution of the Sikh Sangat in the development of Assam. They have been an integral part of India’s energy journey as professionals & entrepreneurs since its early days, and now as we progress towards energy self-sufficiency under the dynamic leadership of PM Sh @narendramodi Ji.

Held the 12th Brainstorming Session in Duliajan, Assam with senior officials of MoPNG and leaders of our energy PSUs to discuss measures aimed at strengthening India's energy sector under the visionary leadership of PM Sh @narendramodi Ji.

Deliberated on the E&P strategy for Assam and Nagaland and the implementation roadmap under the recently signed tripartite MoU. Once operational, these activities will unlock the hydrocarbon potential, boost economic activity across the North East and generate significant direct and indirect employment opportunities for local youth.

We also reviewed the legislative, regulatory and institutional reforms required to create a future-ready, competitive and integrated natural gas market by 2030, alongside measures to enhance the efficiency of our refineries and related energy infrastructure.

Discussions further focused on accelerating India's green energy transition, including pathways for adoption of next-generation biofuels to strengthen energy security while advancing sustainability.

Visited the state-of-the-art Kalpalok, the Virtual Reality Centre of @OilIndiaLimited in Duliajan, Assam today. The advanced centre, based on advanced AI and digital technologies, functions as a critical R&D and analytical hub.
By generating a 3D, computer-simulated environment that mimics reality, VR enables the immersive visualization and advanced analysis of complex subsurface data. Integrating geological, geophysical, and reservoir datasets into interactive 3D spaces allows OIL to comprehend intricate subsurface structures far more effectively than conventional 2D interpretation techniques.

Judicious and intensive use of such cutting edge AI solutions and advanced technologies will provide momentum to India’s efforts to increase the domestic production of hydrocarbons as we progress on our quest to achieve energy security under the visionary leadership of PM Sh @narendramodi Ji.

Yoga is the balance of life.

Yoga has been my lifelong companion — not a passing discipline, but a quiet inheritance from my mother, who introduced me to it when I was still very young. I used to run from our home in Tilak Marg to India Gate to attend open-air classes of Vishvayatan Yogashram and began practising seriously from the age of nine. Through every journey — in India and across the world — yoga travelled with me. It kept my body strong, my mind centred, and my spirit anchored. I have seen it grow from India’s ancient wisdom into a global movement, touching lives in extraordinary ways — including in Hungary, where I met a former airline pilot whose health and life were transformed by yoga so deeply that he gave up flying and became a teacher himself with a following of thousands.

I was fortunate to be there at the launch of the first International Day of Yoga at the United Nations in New York and have regularly attended the celebrations, including the one led by PM @narendramodi ji, the architect and driving force behind the global yoga movement, including through the United Nations. Yoga is an inalienable and essential aspect of India’s soft power, but equally a global public good whose contribution to human wellness is immeasurable.

This year’s International Day of Yoga theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing”, feels deeply personal. After a sudden painful slipped disc episode brought on by overdoing free weights, I was warned that my active life may become limited. For someone used to running, treadmill workouts, dancing, weight training, and making my annual climb up the sacred steps to Tirupati Balaji, that thought was devastating. But under the guidance of my present yoga guru, Shivchitam Ji, and with disciplined practice, I found my way back — off painkillers within ten days, super active again, and grateful again. Yoga teaches us that ageing need not mean surrendering to decline; it can mean ageing with grace, strength, balance and inner light. Yoga is India’s gift to the world — and a lifelong gift we give back to ourselves.

Delighted to visit one of the oldest serving oil wells of the country at the installation of @OilIndiaLimited in Duliajan, Assam.
This well, which is located near the lush tea estates of Assam, has been continuously producing oil for the last six decades. It is also a remarkable reflection of the exemplary journey of OIL, its contribution to India’s quest for energy security and its coming of age under the visionary leadership of PM Sh @narendramodi Ji.

The company which began its operations in the tea estates of Assam is now ruling the waves in Andaman Sea, and is exploring newer frontiers in Kerala-Konkan Basin and the India-Pak border in Rajasthan.

These sentinels of India’s energy sector are the pillars of India’s journey towards #ViksitBharat under Modi Ji’s guidance.

On #FathersDay, I remember my father, Sardar Bhagat Singh Ji.
He was a partition refugee who started life afresh under difficult circumstances, he faced every challenge with courage and dignity. He, and my mother Bibi Kundan Kaur Ji, sacrificed their own comforts so that my younger brother and I could receive a good education and build a better future for ourselves.
My father’s strength of character, values, and selfless love remain a constant source of inspiration.
