VIDEO | Protester in Poland confronts foreign minister over genocide in Gaza
A confrontation erupted in Kraków earlier this week during a promotional event for Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski’s new book. A pro-Palestine activist disrupted the venue to directly challenge Warsaw's alignment with western foreign policy and its continued diplomatic cover for Israel.
The demonstrator shouted:
"Free Palestine, free Palestine! Minister Sikorski does nothing to say that genocide is genocide, so that Poland does not participate in genocide! They do nothing, they will let the Palestinians be crushed... Free Palestine, free Palestine! Poland will not sit idly by with genocide. TNT produced in Poland! TNT produced in Poland!"
Ireland officially bans Israeli ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich
——
Ireland has officially banned Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich from entering the country over their roles in fueling the ongoing destruction of Gaza.
Speaking from the EU-Western Balkans Summit in Montenegro earlier today, Taoiseach Micheál Martin confirmed that Minister for Justice Jim O'Callaghan instructed immigration authorities to deny entry to the two extremist officials. Martin stated that the actions and rhetoric of both ministers amount to a clear desire to see the total elimination of Palestinians from Palestine, adding that Dublin will aggressively lobby for broader, bloc-wide sanctions against them at the EU level.
The travel ban was finalized outside of a formal cabinet decision following a government consensus to block Israeli officials instrumental in fomenting the humanitarian catastrophe in Palestine. The Irish directive follows a similar move by France, which recently banned Ben-Gvir after he mocked activists taken hostage from their Gaza-bound aid flotilla.
Alongside Spain and Italy, France and Ireland are actively pushing the European Union to implement collective sanctions against the ministers, though Martin acknowledged that securing unanimous support across the highly divided trade bloc remains a steep challenge.
France opens war crimes probe over treatment of Gaza-bound flotilla activists
——
French anti-terrorism prosecutors said on Friday that they had launched a preliminary investigation into alleged torture and war crimes linked to the treatment of French nationals by Israeli authorities after they took part in an activist flotilla headed to Gaza.
The investigation stems from Israel's interception of the vessel, which activists said was attempting to deliver humanitarian assistance to Gaza and challenge Israel's naval blockade of the territory.
France's anti-terrorism prosecutor's office (PNAT) said the probe was opened following a referral from the French Foreign Ministry on 28 May.
According to PNAT, the referral was made under Article 40 of France's criminal procedure code, which obliges public officials to report suspected criminal offenses.
The inquiry focuses on allegations of torture and war crimes and has been assigned to France's specialized unit for investigating crimes against humanity and hate crimes (OCLCH).
Organizers of the flotilla alleged that activists were mistreated while in Israeli custody, claiming several were hospitalized with injuries and that at least 15 reported sexual assaults, including rape. All of the activists have since been released.
Ban Ki-moon, then secretary-general of the United Nations, commented on how, in his visits to some of the most forgotten areas of the world, there was a common factor: the presence of Cuban doctors.
“They are always the first to arrive and the last to leave.”
Last night, the US military invaded a quiet residential neighborhood in Pasadena for a “training exercise” that went until 1AM. Mayor Victor Gordo didn’t inform residents until right before and supposedly the military didn’t tell the city until yesterday

Students from the National University of Colombia on Wednesday rallied behind leftist candidate Iván Cepeda of the Historical Pact coalition.
Supporters reject his Trump-backed opponent Abelardo de la Espriella’s far-right policies — including the building of mega prisons — stating, “We cannot go back to when young people were murdered and disappeared.”
The two candidates face off again in a run-off election June 21.
Remember how everyone rushed to use his photo, of his walking toward an IDF tank to advocate for the lives of his patients? Rushed to plaster it everywhere, rushed to make AI edits, art, whatever. That was in December 2024.
How often is he mentioned today? He is alive, he is being tortured and slowly killed - he, alongside every Palestinian hostage, must be freed.
Here are the 117 Democrats who voted with Republicans against Rashida Tlaib's Lebanon war powers resolution.
Thomas Massie was the one Republican to join 91 Democrats — who all bucked party leadership — in voting for it.
The House voted today on a new measure to fuse elements of the Israeli and US militaries, particularly on the cyberweapons front. Section 224, as its known, is included in the National Defense Authorization Act. Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., introduced an amendment to strip it from the bill. Watch as a stream of Republicans and Democrats stand up in support of the enhanced cooperation. Only Rep. Sarah Jacobs (D-Calif.) joined Khanna, and the measure failed in a voice vote. Watch:

This from The Economist magazine is a good reminder that corporate media is not “objective” — it is an explicit and focused political project with a clear ideology.
Pass it on.
For over two years, Democratic Congressmember Adam Smith has voted to send tens of billions of dollars for the Israeli state's genocide in Gaza.
In December, Adam Smith championed a bill to give Trump $906 billion for wars.
Last week, Adam Smith proudly introduced a bill for over a trillion NEW dollars for war. The bill would also fuse the U.S. and Israeli militaries and shockingly escalate AI, cyber, and biotech weaponry for Israel.
Adam Smith's biggest funder has been Zionist lobby group AIPAC.
He is the #1 Democrat recipient in the House of Palantir donations and weapons industry money as a whole.
That same Adam Smith says that "the solution is to come up with a national security strategy that doesn't require you to have a 1.6 trillion dollar defense budget."
This guy deserves formal recognition as Orwellian "war is peace" genocidal politician of the year.
But the corporate media does not even comment on his bald-faced lies. None of the so-called progressive Democrats call him out.
Just goes to show how rotten the capitalist system is, as are its agents, the Democratic and Republican parties.
I'm running as an independent revolutionary antiwar socialist. Join my campaign to win this election and throw warmonger Adam Smith out of office.

🚨 Gaza Flotilla Volunteers Detained in Libya 11 Days, Report Life-Threatening Conditions From Unnamed “Black Site”
Ten volunteers with the Global Sumud Flotilla — an international solidarity mission attempting to reach Gaza — have been held without legal counsel or consular access in Benghazi, Libya for 11 days and are now in serious medical condition after entering a dry hunger and water strike on Monday, according to the organization.
🔸 Who they are
➤ Volunteers with the Global Sumud Flotilla and Maghreb Sumud Organization, detained while attempting to reach Gaza as part of an international solidarity mission
➤ Ten people held in total, including Spanish nationals Paula Giménez and Argentine national Lucas Aguilera and others of multiple nationalities
➤ Held for 11 days with no access to lawyers, embassies, or independent medical teams
🔸 Their condition
➤ On day 4 of a dry hunger and water strike — refusing both food and liquids — in protest of illegal detention, mistreatment, and denial of legal counsel
➤ Fainting, weight loss, extreme weakness, and physical deterioration reported
➤ One volunteer’s blood sugar measured at 40 mg/dL — a critically dangerous level indicating severe hypoglycemia requiring emergency medical intervention
➤ Some have been forced to break the strike due to deteriorating health; many continue despite worsening conditions
➤ No medical care has been received
🔸 The covert call
In a secretly placed phone call, one detainee told a contact: “We’re on a hunger strike on day 4. We’re on a water strike on day 4. My blood sugar was 40 this morning. Just whoever media that you can get a hold of, tell the media to spread this.” He described their location as “a black site similar to a CIA black site, a prison that has no name.”
🔸 Demands
➤ Immediate humanitarian and medical access
➤ Access for independent medical teams
➤ Full consular access for all nationalities
➤ Full legal assistance
➤ End to isolation, incommunicado detention, harassment, and interrogations
➤ Immediate release of all ten detainees
The organizations are calling on the Argentine state, the UN, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and the foreign ministries of all nationalities involved to intervene immediately to “prevent irreversible consequences for their health and integrity.”
My deepest gratitude goes out to all who
have supported this campaign. You voted against genocide, exploitation, and oppression and for humanity, equity, and justice. History will record that you helped lay the foundation of the movement that eventually ended the duopoly.
Illegal and unethical Democrat and Zionist efforts to remove me from the ballot and the debates kept us from winning this election. They cheated us but have not defeated us. When the votes are all counted, this will be one of the most successful write-in campaigns in history.
And this liberation movement is bigger than any individual election or even electoral politics. Our work has only begun, and if we persist, liberation and victory are assured.

Just to clear things up once and for all: You CAN vote for me in this primary election.
I am an officially registered write-in candidate for Governor of CA.
It’s just 3 steps and 9 letters to build a CA not subservient to establishment Dems or billionaires buying our election.
