I am interested in health education, palliative care, and neurodegenerative disorders.

The system is flawed, not you. (With the physician SHORTAGE, How unfair that ANYONE should go unmatched☹️)

I was able to get a new ID photo taken without my hair or ears showing and completely in compliance with my religious beliefs. This week I gained access to my email and found the kind messages GME and VA security sent to reassure me that this would all be taken care of and okay

Being told that I need to show my ears and at least an inch of my hair for an ID photo when it is known I cannot for religious reasons is really distressing and not something I expected to be part of onboarding process at the VA

I have been meaning to post an update to this tweet (for anybody who cares) because I got access to my institution’s email this week. I had reached out to the VA my program works with by the end of May and spoke with their office and was able to get my ID reissued w/o pushback

If you survey medical students right after Match Day, the happiest and most satisfied ones are those who matched higher on their rank order list.

But ask them again 3 months into intern year, and everyone is indistinguishable.
