Bottesford Town FC are delighted to announce the appointment of Taron Hare and Ben Hepworth as our new Reserve Team Joint Managers.

Following a strong recruitment process and a number of excellent applications, we are pleased to welcome Ben to the club ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The appointment represents another important step in the continued development of our player pathway, with the Reserve Team playing a vital role in bridging the gap between youth football and the First Team.

Taron is someone we know well having signed for the 1st team last summer. Taron brings a wealth of non league experience, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for player development, aligning perfectly with the vision we have for the future of the club. As an ex Pro at Scunthorpe United and York City, Taron knows exactly what is required to maximise your potential.

Head of Pathway Development, Leigh Herrick, said:

“We were looking for someone who shared our commitment to developing players and creating opportunities for progression into senior football. Throughout the process, Taron and Ben demonstrated a clear understanding of what we’re trying to build at Bottesford Town, and we’re excited to see the impact they can have.”

Bottesford Town FC have set up a GoFundMe to support our player, Taron Hare, as he begins his recovery from a serious injury.

During our recent FA Cup game, Taron suffered a ruptured achilles in a freak moment. He now faces a long road to recovery, a year out of football, and—being self-employed—an uncertain time away from work.

Taron has a young son, Teddy, and with his wife Daisy expecting their second child in November, this fundraiser is our way of coming together as a football family to support them.
