Viktor Gyökeres or Kai Havertz…who should start for Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League final against PSG?
Viktor Gyökeres gives Arsenal something different. He’s powerful, aggressive, fast in transition and a natural goalscorer.
Against a PSG side that likes to push high, his movement in behind and physicality could be a huge weapon. He thrives in duels, attacks space relentlessly and gives defenders a real problem inside the box.
But there are questions too. Can he adapt instantly to the intensity and tactical demands of a Champions League final? And would his all-action style affect Arsenal’s control in possession?
Kai Havertz, on the other hand, brings intelligence, experience and balance. His movement off the ball, pressing and link-up play help Arsenal control games. He knows how to find space, drops deep to connect attacks and has already shown he can deliver in massive European moments.
However, Havertz is not always the most clinical finisher, and against a PSG defence that can be vulnerable physically, Arsenal may miss the presence of a more traditional No. 9.
So, for the biggest game of the season… who starts up front against PSG: Gyökeres for goals and power, or Havertz for control and experience? ❤️💯
Andrea Berta can make whatever decisions he wants this summer, but selling Leandro Trossard should not be one of them. He remains an important player whose productivity is strongest when his game time is managed properly. Although the left wing position still needs strengthening, Trossard deserves to stay for one more season before leaving on a free transfer in the summer of 2027.
