Updated NICE Guidelines: Initial Pharmacologic Management of Type 2 Diabetes:

🔵 Chronic kidney disease:
🔵 eGFR >30: Metformin MR + SGLT-2 inhibitor; if metformin not tolerated → SGLT-2 inhibitor alone.
🔵 eGFR 20–30: Dapagliflozin or empagliflozin + DPP-4 inhibitor.
🔵 eGFR <20: Consider DPP-4 inhibitor; if unsuitable → consider pioglitazone or insulin.
