Roads leading to Global Hospital and Embassy residency #Perumbakkam have withered. It didn't even withstand 2 full months and this is the state now. No street lights operational on a regular basis. Scary.@UpdatesChennai @chennaicorp @tambaramcorpor2

The #Perumbakkam main road connecting #Medavakkam and #shollingnallur that was relaid less than a month ago after protests from the people has disintegrated completely in this rain forming multiple mini craters. Is this the level of quality @chennaicorp ?

All of Chennai’s state highway roads are in a deep disrepair ‼️

Key stretches like the Anna Salai, EVR Periyar Salai, Arcot Road, 100-feet road and the CTH road are all battered and bruised.

The highways department has a budget of Rs 9412 crore under its comprehensive road infrastructure development programme and another Rs 360 crore for urban traffic improvement project.

Yet, nothing has been done during the dry months.
