VIDEO | Uttar Pradesh DGP Prashant Kumar on security arrangements for Eid, says, "Eid-ul-fitr namaz was held peacefully across Uttar Pradesh. People offered namaz at pre-identified places following all traditions. Traffic on the road was not affected. Additional forces, including police force in civil uniform, paramilitary forces, were deployed at important and sensitive areas. There has been no information of any untoward incident so far. The police will be on alert in the afternoon as well as it has been observed that young people perform stunts in motorcycle. We have appealed to families and religious leaders to prevent youngsters to avoid doing this."

VIDEO | The Uttar Pradesh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (@myogiadityanath), has made provisions in the state budget for the construction of four new expressways to enhance connectivity and infrastructure development in various regions. These expressways aim to improve transportation efficiency, reduce travel time, and boost economic growth.

The first proposed expressway is an access-controlled greenfield expressway that will connect the Agra-Lucknow Expressway to the Ganga Expressway. This route will pass through Kausia in Hardoi district via Farrukhabad, ensuring better road connectivity in the region.

VIDEO | Maha Kumbh 2025: UP DGP Prashant Kumar says, "Last snan on Basant Panchami was an 'amrit snan'. Today's snan is the fifth one. The arrangement that was there earlier, it is the same today. In between, there was a huge influx of pilgrims, people are now coming on their own vehicles. Everyday, about 1 lakh vehicles entered the Kumbh area, we changed our strategy, manpower deployment, it helped, and now the pilgrimage is happening smoothly. Till now today at around 12 pm, more than 1.5 crore people have taken 'snan'. In total around 46-47 crore people have taken holy dip during this Maha Kumbh. It shows that there was success in arrangement of the Maha Kumbh."

VIDEO | Speaking on the Maha Kumbh stampede incident, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath (@myogiadityanath) says, "Today is the Amrit Snan of Mauni Amavasya. Since 7 pm yesterday, devotees in large numbers were taking the holy dip while others were waiting for 'Brahma Muhurta'. Meanwhile, an unfortunate incident happened on the Akhara Marg, in which more than 90 people were injured. This incident happened because of the massive crowd breaking the barricades and crossing the line... around 30 people have died, 36 injured are undergoing treatment in Prayagraj while the remaining injured have been taken away by their family members."
