The demand for a 5 Day Work Week in banks is not new. It already stands agreed upon in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. What remains is its long-pending implementation.

At the same time, the unilateral and discriminatory PLI system must be abolished and replaced with a fair, transparent and inclusive framework for all employees, recognising the collective effort behind every institution’s performance.

Hardworking bank employees are not asking for privilege. They are asking for implementation of an agreement and equality in reward.

With staff shortages and rising stress, 5-day banking is a service-quality issue, not a “perk.” UFBU has pursued this since 2015; IBA has recommended it to the Government (MoU 07-12-2023), and it’s included in the 12th Bipartite/9th Joint Note (08-03-2024), pending clearances.
Let’s finish what’s already agreed.

राजदीप जैसे लोगों को यह समझना चाहिए कि केजरीवाल के कई विधायक ऐसे हैं जो स्वयं केजरीवाल का नाम प्रयोग करने से बचते हैं। केजरीवाल की स्थिति यह थी कि यदि संदीप दीक्षित न भी खड़े होते, तब भी वो हारता, और संभवतः कॉन्ग्रेस के वोटर परवेश वर्मा को वोट दे देते।

राजनीति में मतदाता गणित के अंक नहीं होते हैं। अंकों में सोचने की क्षमता नहीं होती, मतदाताओं में होती है। यही कारण है कि ‘कॉन्ग्रेस अगर गठबंधन कर लेती तो’ का फैक्टर ऐसी भयावह एंटी-इन्कम्बेन्सी में नाकाम हो जाती है।
