I think one of the nicest parts of growing older is becoming less concerned with what a good life should look like and more attentive to what a good life feels like to me.
I feel most comfortable around people who do not confuse my playfulness for incompetence. you can let me be ridiculous and still respect my mind. those two things are not in conflict.
i regret to inform you that personal growth rarely comes from acquiring new knowledge and almost always from:
• getting humiliated
• showing up terrified and doing it anyway
• admitting you might be the problem
You have to walk around knowing you are that mf while also remembering that you are nobody who knows nothing. Highest levels of consciousness can simultaneously hold both.
my favourite part about documenting my life is that i have all this evidence that my life is beautiful. in case i forget, i can always go back to this reminder.
Acting on your creative ideas is a form of self-love. It’s how you prove to yourself that your vision has value, and your inner world deserves a place in reality. It says: “I see something inside me worth bringing into the world.” Not someday. Not when it’s perfect. Now.
