Major Crackdown On Illegal Cattle Smuggling 🚨

In a significant breakthrough against illegal cattle trafficking, Barobisha Outpost under Kumargram Police Station, Alipurduar, intercepted an illegal consignment today.
Acting on specific source information, Police intercepted a container truck bearing near Raidhak Bridge Naka. Upon inspection, 50 buffaloes were found inside. The driver failed to produce any valid permits or documentation for transporting the cattle.

Persons Apprehended:
* Sagir Ahmed; 32 yrs (Driver)
* Abdul Kadir 19 yrs, (Helper)
Both accused individuals have been arrested, and a specific case is being initiated under the appropriate legal provisions.

I appreciate the Alipurduar Police District for their relentless vigilance, swift response and exceptional efforts in thwarting such illegal operation.
Under this new BJP Government, illegal trafficking and smuggling of cattle or any bovine animals in West Bengal will simply not be permitted. There is an absolute Zero-Tolerance policy against cattle smuggling across the State.
