So, Twitter tells me that I joined on this day, 12 years ago. Probably the only social media I’m on rn. To commemorate my 12th year on the bird app, here’s a thread on the top 12 Twitter accounts that I follow. #MyTwitterAnniversary
Finishing another playthrough of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - and finally hitting 100% achievements - is carrying more weight than I expected it to.
I’d always enjoyed games, but this was the one that really shifted things for me. It pushed me from playing games casually to really diving into it as a hobby: the worldbuilding, choice design, music, tone...it shaped the kinds of experiences I look for now.
It found me at a time when I wasn’t doing great mentally - in fact, it was probably the worst place I've ever been in. There were stretches leaving the house or even sitting with a clear head for a couple of hours felt out of reach. The world of The Witcher offered me structure and space - something absorbing enough to quiet the noise for a while.
Even now, years later - and in a much better place mentally - returning to it feels safe and comforting. It’s a reminder of how important it is to nurture the things that ground you. To allow yourself to prioritise your hobbies and your happiness. A piece of media, whether a video game or otherwise, can be more than just “good” - it can arrive at the right time and leave a lasting mark.
That’s why it’s my number one. Not just because it’s great, but because of what it came to mean to me.
Until next time. 🐺⚔️
@GameOverGreggy did you guys take down your Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred review? I can only find the Gamescast plays ep with Xanth but I could have sworn you did a review. Pinging here just in case it’s an upload issue and it’s not up yet
@JAYGAMING029 I’ve been primarily just traversing on foot. Easier to just jump into combat if you run into bandits. The wings and triple force push also help with verticality. My horse be leading the good life, I don’t summon him
@Samruddh20@Fightincowboy It’s already on his YouTube channel. Check out his video explaining the best skill, he shows a demo of this at the end of the video
@SpawnYaardReply Get the clothesline and RKO moves from the skill tree asap. You’re going to look sick opening a fight with a clothesline straight into an RKO before you even pull out your sword. Might not get kills but aura farm is 100000+
@Fightincowboy CB, do you have any tips on how to trigger the double jump over the glide? It’s always a 50-50 on whether you’ll get the double jump or the wings. In both scenarios I’m only tapping the jump button after jumping once
Every three months we gather up to discuss the state of the game. It takes us 4 long days just to go through the features and their status, and that's not even looking at the content. There everything is in the thousands or sometimes even hundreds of thousands. The reason of course is the permutations that come out of player choice, both story wise and systems wise. Every time I'm intimidated by how long the lists of tasks are that need to be done to support all that freedom.
But the thing that struck me the most this time is the amount of support structure we had to build just to be able to do all of this and how important the people running it are. Many of them are fans of what we make and so they take great care to ensure everything is done really well. It gives you warm feelings to see how much effort they put in because they know that somehow at some point it'll all make a difference. They love the team fiercely and go above and beyond to take care of them.
Every developer has other people behind them that let them do their jobs and they're very often forgotten. They're unsung heroes who deserve to be applauded because whenever you see a great piece of work, it's because there was a group of them that ensured the infrastructure was there to make that work in the first place.
From the office manager walking in and causing a stampede by saying "ice-cream" or the legal team sitting down beyond their hours to assist a dev with his traffic tickets or the building logistics team fighting with a carpenter just to ensure something is done propely, there's a reason developers include all of their operations staff in the credits and this is it.
It's called the Hellstone. We're all ncreasingly divorced from physicality, so we wanted to build a monument for not only our international teams to gather around, but for the rest of the gaming community to rally around. We wanted people to get excited for the next big game on their list, and we wanted to do it in a way that employed skill & craft, by hand, to drive people outside to see it, and to talk about it. So many people assumed it was AI, or even a "UE5 render." Expectations are understandably low.
We saw by the reaction, however, that excitement is at an all-time high. We hope that your favourite game is announced, whatever it may be. We hope that the people making it feel empowered enough to go out and talk to you about it. We hope that the physical world still plays a large role in the adventure that is the video games industry. We at Larian will continue to invest in ways to be tangible, and present, and open with what is clearly an excited and engaged audience.
The level of skill & craftsmanship in creative spaces has never been higher, and I hope we can all make time to go out into the world and appreciate it when we see it. That physicality between the process and audience is that maintains a necessary level of mutual respect. It is very much ok to be excited about video games, and we can't wait to see you in person, when we're ready, on the road to Divinity. Oh and thanks for not setting it on fire.
I don’t think I’ve ever been so nervous about an announcement as this one but here it is - this is our biggest most ambitious rpg yet and we can’t wait to show it to you!!!

Yo @TheAndyCortez, I wanted to get the Winter Wonderlands in between sweater from your store but I’m a little unsure about the sizes. What do you typically wear on stream? Asking because I saw that you don’t take returns for sizing issues
@LookAtMyMeat1 Silksong broke online stores because of hype and anticipation, people have been waiting for years. That doesn’t automatically qualify it to be a better game! Nobody expected E33 to be as good as turned out! Played both, loved both but E33 is 100% worthy of the GOTY
Big week ahead for the entire video game industry.
A new console launch, and lots of video game news across many digital shows and events.
You'll get lots of big franchise news, but also pay attention to the smaller games/studios - so many new teams are doing stunning work.
A cursed blade, drawn not in rage, but in reverence.
Primordial might churns beneath gilded graft, hungering for the Night's undoing.

There’s something unforgettable about arriving in Skellige for the first time, with ‘Fields of Ard Skellig’ playing in the background! Beautiful moment in a beautiful game! #Witcher3
