India is building Chenab-Beas link in violation of Indus Waters Treaty. The IWT prohibits inter-basin transfer of water. Blatant violations under the garb of “holding in abeyance”. India doesn’t give a damn about its international obligations.

🔹On the eve of the official visit of President @drpezeshkian to Pakistan, the streets leading to important government buildings and diplomatic venues, were adorned with the sacred flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
🕊🇵🇰 What the Swiss talks achieved — and why Pakistan was central to it
👉 The first round of US-Iranian peace talks has wrapped up in Switzerland, with Pakistan as lead mediator and Qatar in a supporting role.
Key outcome: a joint statement on progress toward a settlement and coordination of a roadmap for reaching agreements between the US and Iran.
💬 "Pakistan serves as the principal mediator, while Qatar operates in a supporting capacity," said former Pakistani Ambassador Dr. Jamil Khan. "Qatari officials have acknowledged they are backing Pakistan-led efforts."
Pakistan's diplomatic efforts paid off: US Vice President JD Vance says he has spoken with Pakistani Field Marshal Asim Munir more than with any other person over the past three months.
The R-4 group — Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt — met in Cairo to build regional consensus.
💬 "These four countries are the regional champions," says Khan.
📍 Launched in March 2026, R-4 consolidates the diplomatic weight of key Islamic countries.
With Pakistan as key mediator alongside Qatar for the Islamabad framework for talks, the R-4 now acts as a consensus-building bloc to ensure the deal's success.

#Iran
For centuries, superpowers mediated peace. Today, a middle power helped mediate peace for a superpower. Pakistan’s diplomatic weight is growing beyond its economic size.

Technical talks between US and Iran which are mediated and facilitated by Pakistan and Qatar have BEGUN at the Bergunstock resort in Switzerland as part of the understanding reached under the Islamabad MoU framework’s in person talks which were hosted by Pakistan on 21st June.
As I had said earlier, Reporting on diplomatic negotiations is not like reporting on sports matches which has running commentary. It's more like watching a marathon play out, both literally and figuratively.
During Islamabad talks, AFP's irresponsible and entitled reportage painted the process in a particular light.
This time in Switzerland, media outlets who were not even there at the resort, kept on reporting about a delegations "departure" which was not simply true, saying this as a reporter on ground at the resort.
Do not believe everything you read or hear on the internet, sometimes Pakistani media and Pakistani journalists actually do know more than the Western ones, try following them for accurate reportage and they won't disappoint.
Alhamdulillah, the First High-Level Committee Meeting under the framework of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding has concluded successfully in Bürgenstock, Switzerland.
The discussions were held in a positive and constructive atmosphere and yielded encouraging progress, including agreement on a roadmap toward a final deal within 60 days, the establishment of a High-Level Committee to provide political oversight, and the commencement of further technical talks.
I commend the leadership of both the United States as well as Iran for their continued commitment to constructive engagement, and thank all brotherly and friendly countries for their valuable support in advancing this historic process.
In particular, I would like to express my gratitude to our brotherly country Qatar, for its critical support in creating the conditions necessary for these negotiations to move forward.
A word of thanks to the Swiss Government for their facilitation in hosting these talks.
I would like to pay special tribute to Field Marshal Asim Munir whose untiring efforts made these talks a success. His dedication, commitment and perseverance are indeed commendable without which there would have been no progress.
I would like to pay my warm compliments and heartfelt gratitude to Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, for his diplomatic efforts along with his team at the Foreign Office. I also deeply appreciate the hard work of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi who contributed immensely to the success of these talks.
Pakistan will continue to play its honest and sincere role in advancing dialogue and diplomacy towards a peaceful and lasting resolution.
