پہلی کہانی

آپ کو محمد شاہ رنگیلا اور سائرہ تو یاد ہوگی

ایک وقت تھا جب محمد شاہ رنگیلا دہلی پر حکومت کرتا تھا۔ اسے شراب و شباب سے فرصت نہ تھی۔ نادر شاہ نے دہلی پر حملہ کیا، قتلِ عام کیا، شہر اجاڑ دیا۔ جب محمد شاہ کو بتایا جاتا کہ نادر شاہ دہلی میں داخل ہو چکا ہے تو وہ بے پروائی سے کہتا: “کوئی ایک آدھا شہر لے جائے گا تو کیا ہو جائے گا؟” اور پھر اپنی طوائف سائرہ کی طرف اشارہ کر کے کہتا: “سائراں دے، جھوٹا!” مطلب سائرہ جھولاجھلاتی رہو!

آخرکار نادر شاہ اس تک پہنچ گیا، مگر کہا: “میں تمہیں اپنا بھائی بناتا ہوں، حکومت نہیں لوں گا۔” محمد شاہ کوہِ نور اپنی پگڑی میں چھپا چکا تھا۔ نادر شاہ نے کہا: “ہمارا دستور ہے کہ بھائی بنتے وقت پگڑی بدلی جاتی ہے۔” پگڑی بدلی گئی، اور کوہِ نور بھی چلا گیا۔

دوسری کہانی

ایک ملک میں نیا بادشاہ بنانا تھا۔ لوگوں نے فیصلہ کیا کہ صبح جو پہلا آدمی سامنے آئے گا، اسے بادشاہ بنا دیں گے۔ ایک شخص گودڑی اٹھائے آ رہا تھا، اسے بادشاہ بنا دیا گیا۔

وہ ہر مسئلے کا ایک ہی جواب دیتا: “پکاؤ حلوہ!”

ملک پر حملہ ہوا، تب بھی اس نے کہا: “پکاؤ حلوہ!” وہ کہتا تھا: “تم نہیں جانتے میری گودڑی میں کیا ہے۔” جب دشمن اس تک پہنچ گیا تو اس نے کہا: “میں تو حلوہ کھانے آیا تھا، لوگوں نے مجھے بادشاہ بنا دیا۔” اس نے حلوہ کھایا، اپنی گودڑی اٹھائی اور چلتا بنا۔

جب مشرقی پاکستان میں جنگ چھڑی تو یحییٰ خان کا طرزِ عمل بھی کچھ ایسا ہی تھا۔

آج بھی ہمارے جرنیل اسی ذہنیت کے اسیر دکھائی دیتے ہیں۔ اقتدار آتا ہے، وسائل پر قبضہ ہوتا ہے، حلوہ ت��سیم ہوتا ہے، اور پھر گودڑی اٹھا کر رخصت ہو جاتے ہیں۔ نقصان مگر پاکستان کا ہوتا ہے، قیمت عوام ادا کرتے ہیں، اور تاریخ نئے ناموں کے ساتھ پرانی غلطیاں دہراتی رہتی ہے۔ اپنا حلوہ کھاؤ گے اور بھاگ جاؤگے!
