⚡️Ukraine unveils new Mavic alternative, but Chinese dependence persists.
According to Vyriy, the new Slavic drone has a tactical operating range of up to 30 kilometers, approximately twice that of a Chinese-made Mavic.

❗️Russia has probably exceeded its missile production plan by 110%-120%, — CBS News.
This could have happened due to the active production of 1200 "Geran-4" and 800 "Geran-5" in September.
Due to the fact that Russia is actively launching jet drones instead of expensive missiles, it has managed to preserve its stocks of cruise and ballistic weapons.
#Russia began the #winter#heating season with targeted strikes on #Ukraine's power grid in #Kyiv. Ukraine is bracing for a brutal season of #blackouts and supply disruptions. Allies in #Europe are racing air defense equipment to the fight. Read more: https://t.co/kRrtK1IyfX
the Teamsters have authorized a strike at the Bayway refinery in Linden, NJ. interestingly, they mention the refinery processes 275 million barrels of crude oil and 145 million barrels of gasoline each day. did the facility suddenly 1000x overnight? keeping an eye on this.
Our financial system is on the verge of collapsing and people are selling the best hedge... gold.
The US10Y yield is at the core of all of it... the "risk-free yield" and "safe-haven asset" on which the global financial system is built.
Normally during times of crisis or uncertainty, investors bid up US Treasuries and thereby push yields lower.
But we are not living in normal times.
Enormous debt and deficits + a change in marginal buyers from price-insensitive central banks to highly leveraged hedge funds has led to bonds getting sold off instead.
Over the past 6 years, the US10Y yield rose from almost zero to over 5%.
At the same time, US debt almost doubled... The result is annual interest expenses of over $1.2T.
And this is where the problem becomes self-reinforcing.
Higher yields -> higher interest expenses -> larger deficits -> more debt issuance -> even more pressure on yields.
The supposed "risk-free asset" is becoming the source of risk itself.
And this isn't just an American problem.
Yields are surging across major sovereign debt markets while governments are more indebted than they have been in decades.
So what happens when yields become too high for governments to afford?
Central banks eventually have to step in.
QE... YCC... Financial repression... Whatever they decide to call it.
They will have to suppress yields below where the market wants them and sacrifice the currency to save the sovereign debt market.
People selling gold because yields are rising are completely missing the bigger picture.
In a sovereign debt crisis, rising yields aren't evidence that gold is becoming less attractive...
They are evidence that the system is getting closer to the point where policymakers will be forced to intervene.
Higher yields today will eventually force artificially lower yields tomorrow.
We don't own enough gold for what's coming.
russia struck this animal shelter with a drone. The woman you see here is its owner. Ten dogs and ten cats were killed, animals she had rescued, cared for, and given a home
Ukraine completely halted steel production for the first time in 100 years
Russian strikes put the country’s largest metallurgical enterprises out of operation.
In particular, Zaporizhstal halted operations indefinitely after four attacks in August and September. 17 missiles were launched at the plant: eight employees were killed, and another 31 were injured.
On September 25, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih announced the suspension of operations. The plant was unable to operate after five weeks of strikes. Five employees were killed there.
Before the full-scale war, metallurgy and mining accounted for about 10% of Ukraine’s GDP and a third of its exports. Hundreds of thousands of people worked in the industry and related sectors.
The closure of the plants will hit local budgets, for which taxes from metallurgical enterprises accounted for up to 30–70% of revenues.
The halt in production also creates problems for Ukraine’s defense and reconstruction. Steel is needed for military equipment, shelters, and the repair of destroyed buildings.
Damage to railways and ports is complicating the transportation and export of the remaining products.
Russia has begun this winter's energy campaign against Kyiv, aiming to starve and freeze out the residents of Ukraine's capital.
Russian drones started striking transmission lines in the city today.
💡🇺🇦 Vanek: Almost all ballistic missiles attacked three energy facilities in Kyiv and the Kyiv region. Power and heating were attacked.
The remaining missiles hit residential buildings. Drones attacked power and industrial facilities.
❗️Fires at Trypilska TPP, Kyiv CHP-5 and CHP-6.
Trypilska Thermal Power Plant in Kyiv damaged by Russian attack.
Russian terrorism knows no bounds. They are striking every civilian target they can think of, from energy infrastructure to stores and homes. Ukraine needs air defense!
US yields are down as the New York Fed president says there is no need for urgency for another hike.
He's right...
With $40T in debt and $2T in deficits, the US can't afford higher rates for longer.
In fact, the only way to "solve" the debt problem is via inflation.
In other words, they will sacrifice the currency to save the bond market.
We don't own enough hard assets for when this happens.
🇨🇿#Czechia: The Rapid Trial II exercise, in which the 41st Mechanized Battalion of the 4th Rapid Deployment Brigade played a leading role, but which also included engineers from the 15th Engineer Regiment.
During the exercise, two mechanized companies faced off against each other, with one attacking and the other defending. In addition to the KBVP Pandur II CZ 8x8 wheeled infantry fighting vehicles, the combat operations also involved mortars and drones. Minefields were created using MV-3 mine launchers mounted on Tatra 810 truck beds, while roadblocks were cleared using explosives.
