wilderness and the high seas. The Imam is as crystal-clear water to thirst, an indicator of true guidance and the protector against destruction.
One of my favorite narration, warms my heart and my eyes well up.

The Imam is like the risen sun that beautifies the world with its light and is in the horizon above the harm of hands and eyes. The Imam is as the bright moon, the shining lamp, the brilliant light, and the guiding star in the depth of darkness, in the middle of the towns, in the

Jaʿfar al-Ṣādiq (as) Unearths Four Treasures from the Qur’an
The famous Egyptian preacher and Qur’an commentator, al-Sha’rawi, would often quote in his inimitable style a report of Jaʿfar al-Ṣādiq that is found *only* in the Imāmī corpus and which I give in full below:
Al-Ṣādiq Jaʿfar b. Muḥammad said: I am astonished at the one who is troubled by four (things) why does he not resort to four:
I am astonished at the one who is afraid – why does he not resort to His words: “Sufficient for us is Allah and He is the best of patrons (ḥasbunā-llāh wa niʿma-l-wakīl)”? For I heard Allah saying after that: “So they returned with a blessing from Allah and (His) favour, they were not touched by evil” (3:174)
I am astonished at the one who is sad – why does he not resort to His words: “There is no god but You, glory be to You, surely I was among the wrong-doers (lā ilāha illa anta subḥanaka innī kuntu mina-l-ẓālimīn)”? For I heard Allah saying after that: “So We responded to him and saved him from grief and thus do We save the believers” (21:87)
I am astonished at the one who is being schemed against – why does he not resort to His words: “And I delegate my affair to Allah, surely Allah watches over (His) servants (wa-ufawwiḍu amrī ila-llāh inna-llāha baṣīrun bil-ʿibād)”? For I heard Allah saying after that: “So Allah shielded him from the evil of what they had schemed” (40:44)
I am astonished at the one who seeks the world and its decoration – why does he not resort to His words: “Whatever Allah wishes (will be), there is no power save from Allah (mā shāʾ allāh lā quwwata illa bi-llāh)”? For I heard Allah saying after that: “If you perceive me to be lesser than you in wealth and children then perhaps my Lord will grant me (something) better than your garden” (18:39) and ‘perhaps’ (in the Qur’an) is an imperative (not optional).

Grading: The hadith is reliable as all the narrators in the chain are thiqa with the sole exception of Ibn Bābawayh’s teacher, Jaʿfar b. Muḥammad b. Masrūr, who is also considered thiqa per some scholars.
Comment: The importance of the hadith is seen in the fact that the great companion Muḥammad b. Abī ʿUmayr received it from “a great number of our shaykhs (jamāʿa min mashāyikhina)” who were direct students of al-Ṣādiq, naming Abān b. ʿUthmān, Hishām b. Sālim, and Muḥammad b. Ḥumrān among them.
We get to see Imam al-Ṣādiq’s unparalleled mastery of the Qur’an and its language in how he infers four adhkār from a close-reading of the Qur’an. If someone were to repeat these four adhkār regularly and internalize them then he will be freed from the four troubles, God willing.

All Muslims should boycott the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca. The global Ummah is contributing to an economy that funds genocide in Palestine and Yemen. The country is led by a man whose name features in the Epstein files more than 340 times.

Sayyid Kāẓim, in one of his treatises, discusses the proper adab of approaching the hadith literature, emphasizing that one should approach the words of the Imams (ʿa) with the intention and humility of a student rather than the presumption of a scholar:
"And examine the books of reports concerning our Immaculate Imams (as), may the peace of Allah, the Sovereign, the Chosen One, be upon them, with the gaze of a student, not that of a scholar.
That is, examine them while believing that the Imam (as) is alive, present, and existent, and that all creation is within his sight and hearing and before him.
Thus, when you examine the words attributed to them, while regarding yourself as deficient in your ability to comprehend them and being certain that the truth belongs to them, is with them, lies within them, originates from them, and returns to them, there is no doubt that they (as) will guide you toward correctness, support you, and not leave you in misguidance." - al-Sulūk
Aurangzeb Alamgir was such an idiot that he used the exact same method of imposing Jizya that Khalifah Umar had used.
So, a rich man had to pay a maximum of 0.5%, while the poorest payer had to pay 2.5%-6.5%.
He could not care less that 1,100yrs had passed, that the economic structure had changed, and that India and the Middle East were two different regions with different socio-political structures.

Amir al-Muminin, peace be upon him: "When you fear a matter, plunge into it, for the intensity of fearing it is greater than falling into it." And his saying, peace be upon him: "Fear is linked with failure, and shyness with deprivation."
The house of Allah’s knowledge is the heart of His Wali; and one can enter that house only through Wilayah.

Imam al-Baqir (AS) said:
«“The Imams (AS) are the houses of Allah’s knowledge, the gates of Allah, and the path to Paradise until the Day of Judgment.”»
