@Maryian96 These numbers will begin making sense when the opposition flagbearer is picked and the fallout and realignments that usually follow.
The transfer season hasn't started.
@BorisOG_254@Maryian96 Interesting. Yes, I'll wait and see. Raila did not become president and its ok. I like the confidence but I trust evidence more. Ruto may not be popular, but he surely knows a thing or two on getting power, and in this case, retaining it. I wouldn't bet against him.
@BorisOG_254@Maryian96 Your argument that Raila lost while still in government doesn't hold in this context. In Kenyan elections, it's not just the numbers that count. We have seen that movie before. Defeating a sitting President will always be an uphill task in Kenya if past patterns mean anything.
@BorisOG_254@Maryian96 Moi was not running in 2002. Neither was Uhuru in 2022. Kibaki lost the 2007 elections. Uhuru lost the 2017 elections, stole the vote and it was cancelled. Raila abandoned the repeat elections. Both Kibaki and Uhuru served 2 terms. Votes don't exist only in one region.
@ed_kemboi The only candidate that made Ruto worry was Raila as he had broad support. The opposition will cannibalize itself in due time as it will be very difficult to agree without a fallout. He'll be waiting to harvest.
@ahmednasirlaw Losses are expected in politics. It's good for Ruto that it has happened relatively early and now he truly knows how the ground is in Central. He must now redraw his reelection map and spend resources where it will matter.
@Bbmorg 5 stages of grief. Loss is painful so it's understandable. England lost and healing will take a while. Sunday will be ๐ฅ. Just enjoy the game, and temper your expectations. It's just football. We win, we lose, we move on.
@FCB_Xabhi The strength with Argentina is they adapt their game when things don't work. They can play low block, South American flavor, pass around like Spain eg against England and create dangerous moments from nothing. They fight to the last minute. This makes them very lethal.
@lynn_ngugi1 Propaganda is part of politicking.
This was purely a Central Kenya affair, Gachagua's election to lose. He's made a statement.
Celebrate the victory. It's a deserved win but assuming it reflects the reality of other areas is a costly mistake.
I
@Dr_AustinOmondi Ol Kalao was an experiment that failed. He now has data that he needs to update his reelection model.
He should invest where there are likely returns.
@Dr_AustinOmondi Relax. With your logic, western is now UDA as it won Malava or Mt. Kenya East in UDA as it won Mbeere.
This is a case of generalization fallacy.
Ruto should update his path to reelection as it seems Central is gone, assuming this trajectory holds.
