Someone has been doing a very good job of trying to kill this story in the local media. Barely reported. As reported, the vehicle, KCQ 222X, belongs to Dawamu School, owned by Phillip Waithaka and his wife Claudia Waithaka. Their son, Kinuthia Waithaka was driving. Allegedly they came to the accident scene and took their child, left the rest. They allegedly have tried to say that a 34 year old relative was driving but witnesses from that night have refuted that claim.

Shantel Nekesa, six year old from Kirinyaga was on Monday 18th May 2026 picked by an unknown man shortly after leaving school and five days later, Shantel is yet to be seen.

The man was captured on CCTV camera buying two cakes from a shop while holding Shantel's hand.

The family is seeking help in finding their daughter.

Relatives of a missing Grade 10 student from S.A. Kyeni Girls School are urging the public to come forward with any information that can help locate her daughter.

The student has reportedly been missing for nearly three weeks and the family says their search so far has not produced any results.

The lady whose child was allegedly given the wrong prescription that led to the child going blind has now been served with a letter from the lawyers representing Edobase Chemist & Pharmacy.

In the letter, the pharmacy demands that she apologises for exposing them on social media. She has been given 48 hours to post a public apology on social media and also submit a written apology to the pharmacy.
