Very inspiring student led UC inaugural symposium "Parkinson's Together " that brings together the superpowers of patients, community, and UC colleges: medicine, engineering, art, science, design, allied health, law, and others. So proud of all of you! @UCCOM_undergrad@uofcincy
Someone killed 14 children and 1 teacher at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, TX. I’m wholly devastated.
We live in a society where power absolutely refuses to protect our children. How many more kids have to die before power makes radical changes to these horrific conditions?
I live about a couple hours east of where that white terrorist attack happened and my family loves going on walks around the neighbourhood
Now to be honest I don’t really want them going on those walks as much and I hate that so much
Pt 1: Hi, my family back home in Palestine are facing inhumane actions and experiences. Their house got bombed, leaving them with years of PTSD, they are a family consisting of kids as small as ten months old. I have created a GoFundMePage to hopefully increase their chances of
@LakotaSuper#OSBALakotaEdChat A3: @BegleyLEHS was the teacher who got me into Focus Group Meetings and showed me the real value of #StudentVOICE. For me Mrs.Begley is very important in the way that I observe situations today at Lakota East! Thank you so much💕!
@LakotaSuper#OSBALakotaedchat A2: Lakota East High School has weekly email sendouts for parents. Also, many students use twitter to stay updated with the school.
@LakotaSuper The best part of networking thorough social media, is having the equal say in our school’s #StudentVOICE. EdChats like these give students and faculty members of Lakota a chance to share their opinions.
A2: As a current student, I think teachers should be a little loose on their lesson plans and have as many class and small group discussions as possible, in order to help more students become comfortable with sharing their thoughts and opinions. #LakotaEdChat
Q2: What do you do in order to encourage student participation in the classroom & make discussions like the ones you just described actually happen? #LakotaEdChat
A1: In my point of view, a good academic discussion is when students take the lead and elaborate freely on the discussing topic. This is probably most efficient in a whole class discussion. Students increase their knowledge by sharing, and listening to other peers! #LakotaEdChat
Q1: (Be sure to use A1 in your reply) How would you describe a good academic discussion? (Whole class, small group, partners, etc.) What value do you see in having students talk to, listen to, and learn from each other? #LakotaEdChat
