@Thegaelicgladi3 @LmkUrbanCycling It's one of the pathfinder projects...meant to be complete by 2025. I doubt that's feasible now but plans should be fairly advanced. Expect to see a part 8/section 38 out for consultation from the council soon

@LmkUrbanCycling@LimerickCycling requested this at part 8 stage and the 2020 part 8 report said @LimerickCouncil had already started a Dublin road scheme which would signalise the junction and have a walking and cycling connection and bus lane to the kilmurray roundabout. No news since then
@GOReillyLIMK I think he was talking about bus routes, and all the bus routes go through town. I read it as he is suggesting an orbital bus route would mean bus passengers crossing the city should be able to avoid the congestion in town.
@Live95fmNews@Live95Limerick@DanielButlerFG could you please clear up the confusion, you are quoted in the @limerickpost saying that active travel Limerick proposed the amended plan in consultation with the NTA. The NTA say they haven't even seen it!
@zuroph @Gerannosaurus If people are happy to get on a bike then it's hardly worth getting on a bus. Look where you can get in half an hour on a bus from O'Connell st, and how further you can get on a bike.
@seanohartigan @SocDemsLK Elisa has always been very supportive of cycling in Limerick and is one of the few cllrs to have signed up for the national https://t.co/te3OtjBpFi pledge. I have no doubt she will vote in support of the SCR route part 8
@eric_nelligan@fiercemilder Well we are in agreement on what we want, less congestion, safer and healthier communities. Unfortunately all the studies show that you can't achieve that by building new roads. We need to reallocate space on our existing roads.
@eric_nelligan@fiercemilder A new road won't lead to less cars, just like new bus lanes won't lead to less busses or new cycle lanes won't lead to less bikes. Anyway it's a moot point as the NDR is not going to happen, it's not in the national development plan, it's not in the Limerick transport strategy.
