My mother got married on Wednesday to her partner of 30 years. I can now legitimately call Simon my stepfather 🥰. He has been in @KingstonHospNHS for 16 weeks. Thank you with all my heart TEAM 💫 BRONTE 💫WARD for making this happen. Happy sad but a day to treasure. ♥️

Ward with a view
felt v.fortunate to stride over & admire the light & little blue door while the bed-bound, like my stepfather couldn’t. Remembered how i thought of my visitors as ballet dancers as i ogled the ease & freedom with which they moved.

he left Brontë for 8 days on ICU & then returned to Brontë. There’s this one sister who was on duty today, she found time to give him a meaningful pep talk, sing to the patients in his bay(& what a voice) fetched me a chair #kindness #goingtheextramile @KingstonHospNHS #NHS

If ever an award was well deserved it’s this one. Brontë Ward @KingstonHospNHS have been caring for my critically ill stepfather this week. Such a kind and compassionate team. NHS at its absolute finest 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
