Over a year ago, myself, @HinckleyZachary and @northernpicts secretly found a new Pictish symbol stone and nearly half a dozen Bronze Age cup marked stones placed into the floor of a monumental 11/12th century building...we're finally allowed to share this with people today!
@manda_forster@KelsMadigan If you can take an artefact handling collection they will be over the moon and even better if you can show them something particularly weird or gross. The best sessions I've ever run ended with the kids getting to look at live leaches - we were learning about medieval medicine 😅
@manda_forster@KelsMadigan Regularly ask them questions throughout your presentation - give them a chance to show you what they know already and what they think. And yes lots of pictures! Give them opportunities to ask you questions too. Imagination activities are great for younger kids too.
