@eon_next Thanks Beth. I'm not sure why an issue has to be taken to Twitter to get resolved but thanks to your colleague Kenny for sorting it out so promptly.
@eon_next absolute shambles of a switchover. Trying to changrme me almost triple my usual monthly cost when I have a smart meter which tells me exactly how much I'm spending. Think we were born yesterday. #EonNEXT
@eon_next @invalid__art Hi Beth, I've spent almost an hour on the phone to Emma and her team leader. In the end it's gone through as a "complaint" and someone else will contact me. I doubt there's much you can do apparently the readings are correct and I'm a liar.
@invalid__art Same circumstance but not in debt here. We are being billed ridiculous monthly amounts (almost triple) and after 45mins on the phone, not resolved. Apparently file as a complaint and I'll here back soon. I won't hold my breath but I wont be paying!
@invalid__art @eon_next We have had a terrible experience! Spent 45 mins on the phone today, nothing resolved. Trying to charge me triple my normal monthly usage, but to check my meter I'd need to spend ยฃ150 on an engineer if they find no fault. Complaint gone in, have to wait and see.
Here is the useful ONS graph which shows fatalities by the actual date of death, rather than the date reported.
No erratic ups & downs.
It really puts into perspective how bad April was.
I do think it's important for people to know how much the situation has improved.
As of today 1,477 people are in hospital in England with COVID-19.
Since the peak on the 12th April, the number of people in hospital has decreased 91.4% from 17,172 to 1,477.
Over the last 2 weeks the number of people in hospital has decreased 42.8% from 2,582 to 1,477.
United Kingdom coronavirus (COVID-19) Monday infection trend.
Todays report of 352 infections is the lowest Monday since mid March and shows a 92% drop over the highest ever recorded Monday of 4,676 infections on the 20th April.
100 reported fatalities today, down from 130 183 207 230 283 on previous Saturdays.
890 recorded infections too, which means an encouraging drop in the 7 day average.
The figures won't come down at a steady rate every day, the general direction is key - it is downward.
To be frank, our reporting system for deaths in this pandemic has been woeful.
The daily fluctuations just cause confusion and panic.
Here is a graph NHS England produce for hospital deaths by the actual date of death (recent days will slightly increase).
It shows the decline.

@boydie123 I think a lot of people (from the hashtag) think the story line had been excellent until tonight. I hope they manage to pull it back and victims feel they can come forward.
Horrified at #CoronationStreet - such an important and well written storyline completely ruined tonight. How can we expect victims of DV to come forward when police are portrayed to be as vile as the perpetrator?
@boydie123 IMO the interview would not have happened like that nor would a crime scene be treated the way it was. The officer was portrayed as inhumane and unsympathetic. I hope the next episode paint Police in a different light.
