During WWI millions of soldiers saw poppies in Flanders fields. Some soldiers even sent pressed poppies home in letters. Over 100 years later, the poppy is worn in remembrance of those who gave their lives to defend western ideals of freedom and democracy. #Remembrance

US-UK collaboration is essential to tackling energy security, economic competitiveness, and system reliability together with #cleanenergy and climate goals.
We recently announced a step up in our network investments to £60 billion across the US and UK over the next five years, which will enable economic growth, create thousands of new jobs, and enable the increasingly digital, electrified, and decarbonised economies of the future.
We're uniquely positioned to work closely with the governments of both countries, alongside regulators and industry, to balance historic demand growth, exponential increases in clean energy generation, and the delivery of safe, reliable energy to millions of people across the UK and Northeast US. 🇬🇧🇺🇸
The UK is the first major economy to halve emissions.
This is an enormous achievement by itself, but we have done so in a pragmatic way - growing our economy by 80% and protecting family finances at the same time.
You can’t have a conversation about #offshorewind without hearing from Scots! Great to have energy executives with 🏴 ties from @OrstedUS@XodusGroup Ocean Winds and Venterra join us yesterday.

All I want for Christmas is a new max #Wind generation record 🎅🎄
Today (21 December), wind generated a new high of 21.8GW electricity ⚡ between 8:00-8:30, providing 56% of the generation mix. This breaks the previous record set in January.
We are still waiting for all the data to come through, so this figure might be adjusted slightly.
