Some athletes have broken records that many other athletes in their sport can only dream of, they will go down as one of the all-time greats, yet, they are criticised and underlooked by some people because they have broken as many as another athlete in the same sport.

Which brings me to my point, Cristiano Ronaldo, who has won 5 ballon d'ors, a lifetime achievement of hardwork and consistency. Some say he's not great because Lionel Messi has won 8. Are you guys crazy or what?

Most people ranting online don't even have the discipline to make up their beds every morning, not to talk of working out consistently. Then you'll talk about people who have played the best football at the highest level as if it were simple.

UI is one of the reasons I lose momentum on new Web projects. Most of the time I worry about how it will look like and procrastinate until I never get anything done.

I recently did the opposite, by building something functional with no CSS. After that I add the UI with the help of AI. It has boosted my productivity by 10x.

This is an approach many devs can use, especially backend devs.

Just a reminder that a lot of Tech hiring in Africa is closer to support, networking, Windows/AD, servers, ISP/telco, banking infrastructure management, government IT, manufacturing, and Microsoft/Cisco shops.

Many people getting into Tech look at Software Engineering by default. And then spend years gaining skills that are not very relevant for the market.

I'm not saying traditional Software Engineering jobs don't exist. They do, but not as much as traditional IT and IT support jobs.

It's so shocking that the majority of Africans, or people in general still don't understand crypto currencies, especially Bitcoin. People still think it's just a think you put money you want to multiply, for fast profit.

There's actual infrastructure and use around major crypto currencies. The ones that don't have any use are the so-called #memecoins.

Many Africans are still scammed with get rich quick or ponzi schemes disguised meme coins. You're told to invest and trade.

Money doesn't come so easily. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Scams have become harder to spot.

Ponzi schemes. Fake crypto platforms promising to double your Bitcoin. Pet scams. Fake investment opportunities. Impersonated businesses and individuals.

And AI is making impersonation even easier.

Meanwhile, we’re buying more online, sending money to people we’ve never met, dealing with unfamiliar businesses, and trusting websites we’ve never heard of.

The problem isn't just that there are more scammers.

It's that trust has become harder to verify.

Before you send money, ask:
Who am I dealing with?
Can I independently verify them?
What evidence supports their claims?

Online, a convincing profile is not proof of legitimacy.
