@MusicOfLee For me I understand it as:

Tuning: discrepancy with a pitch you are trying to match

Intonation: discrepancy between different pitches.

If two players are playing the same melody they need to be in tune, if they are playing thirds they need correct intonation

Listening to Michael Sanderling’s recording of Shostakovich 7 with the Dresden Philharmonic. Surely an underrated conductor? Somehow can make the form clear and also highlight the big gestures and moments simultaneously, without harming the overall narrative of the performance

@mikeirons12 It’s been a Bruckner year for me. Whilst I studied it didn’t feel like music “worth” listening to, but now that I am apparently a normal person who listens for pleasure I find I get a lot out of it. Very good to have on whilst I work
