@Ancient_life In my day a governor was required to taste a sample meal. Thus I could do this at a table with prisoners. However catering budget did not cover meals for staff. What the situation is now I don’t know.

@Ancient_life Interesting suggestion to have staff and prisoners eat together. I did this regularly in an open prison back in the 1990’s, I’m not sure from reports I see I would want to do this in many of the local jails these days.
