I am married with a young daughter, both myself and my husband work.
-We are not entitled to housing benefit, or any other benefit for that matter.
-We do not get free eye tests, free dental care or free prescriptions.
-Our daughter is not entitled to free school meals, or free breakfast clubs, or free wrap around care, no help with her uniform.
-We don’t get council tax discount, or any other discount.
-We don’t get help with our energy bills, or low cost broadband.
-We don’t get help with the cost of going to the cinema, or days out at theme parks.
-My daughter is unable to play outside unsupervised, because you have failed to secure our borders and the streets aren’t safe.
-If I work more hours, I fall into the higher tax band.
Why should someone like me, vote for someone like you? @UKLabour@andyburnham
What are you offering my family?
@godblesstoto@ElfwickDraws Just keeping the conversation going. But that’s how I see it. I will say it’s shit once I know for sure.
I walked out of Tenet and thought Dunkirk was only worth 1 watch so I’m not all in on everything he does.
But I trust him as a storyteller
@godblesstoto@ElfwickDraws But it will already be different to what you expect an adaptation of this story to be anyway. I will give Nolan the benefit of the doubt and wait until I see it.
What is the point of getting worked up about a film based on a poem that itself isn’t based on reality?
@JabberwockRVA@TheProjectUnity@LegacyProgramVP Have you seen the film? I guess no
Nolan being loyal to actors/actresses he has worked with previously is not a bad thing. Just because Ellen page is now trans doesn’t mean he shouldn’t work with her again. I guess he now has no choice but to cast her in a male part
@TheProjectUnity@LegacyProgramVP Not really, he uses the same actors regularly. Maybe he liked Ellen page as an actor and wanted to support her in another role. I don’t agree with trans stuff, but he was showing loyalty and I don’t think there is anything wrong with that.
@tdgator9 Haaland is one of the least skillful players in the premier league. The only other position he would be good in would be center back.
He would get destroyed in midfield and would be useless on the wings
@ClayTravis The league system in the US sucks - the football pyramid league system with promotion and relegation makes it a lot more competitive and so many good players come to bigger teams through lower leagues having proved themselves.
It also drives youth development.
