It’s time Congress steps up to #SaveRestaurants by passing the RESTAURANTS Act. Share our new ad that is airing on cable news networks in DC and in select markets across the country and take action now at https://t.co/EI2cGelrpl.
This Sunday, Nicki and I were to celebrate our 23rd Anniversary at LLF’s Chef’s Potluck. Last time they coincided, I had 19 chefs deliver 19 bouquets. This year, Grassroots is sending LLF all of our Win Win Wine… https://t.co/x4gnUD3K1O
@LindseyGrahamSC You’ve got that right @LindseyGrahamSC At the same time, we need to suspend the hospitality/wine tariffs from the 301 package. The 15% on Airbus is plenty in this environment and American wine importers should not have to choose between paying tariffs or making payroll. @us_wine
I'm willing to pay 75 percent of people's income up to $80,000 to get us through. This ought to be enough money to get us through the next six to eight weeks.

@SCDOR Can you consider allowing for taxes due on Friday March 20 to be included, especially hospitality taxes and sales tax from hospitality and restaurant businesses? This is the hardest hit industry in the state and those tax payments are critical for cash flow.
20% unemployment is 32 million out of work. The devastated restaurant industry employ(ed) 15.6 million people last week. Congress needs to lead and develop a immediate relief plan for the f and b industry that makes it whole! @senatemajldr @SenatorDurbin https://t.co/iOI1Pw00XR
How many F and B layoffs happened in the last 7 days? I am guessing 5 million. Think about that. It’s time to get serious about rescuing the most vulnerable industry in this crisis.
https://t.co/Ly5Wron1xw. Very proud to write and post this. We are all in for a tough go, it is time to suspend the Hospitality Tariffs. They amount to a destructive restaurant tax at the worst possible time.
The wine industry is responsible for thousands of jobs in Oregon. These nonsensical tariffs would have a devastating impact on Oregon wine industries, restaurants & small businesses. We cannot punish American industry through irresponsible trade retaliation. I'm fighting back.
Simply put, we need restaurant industry’s voices to stop these tariffs. It’s not my problem, it’s OUR problem. @dhmeyer@beard foundation @Chef_Keller @DanielBoulud
When I got home from DC I found my youngest using a stack of these post-Katrina menus for scratch paper. The wine community has always been there for every initiative. Sure, there are wine lobbies, but a grassroots effort is proving most effective.
