@obviouslacking@topddie For sure! I definitely think by the end of the scene it was clear to the viewer it was homophobic, same with the sheriff’s comments, but I think enough of the stuff could be taken a different bad way that it didn’t seem like Eddie was clear on that in the same way the viewer is.
@obviouslacking@topddie I think if he did he would’ve acknowledged it explicitly at some point either right then, in the car with buck before the crash, or on the phone with chim/athena. It would’ve been relevant info to share with the sheriff or Athena. I think he saw it as a city/country thing.
Victor Wembanyama’s full comments today on the shooting of another civilian by federal agents in Minneapolis:
“PR has tried, but I'm not going to sit here and give some politcally correct [answer]. Every day I see the news and I'm horrified. I think it's crazy that some people might make it seem like or make it sound like it's acceptable, like the murder of civilians is acceptable. I read the news and sometimes I'm asking very deep questions about my own life. I'm concious also saying everything that's on my mind will have a cost that's too great for me right now, so I'd rather not get into too many details. It's terrible. I know I'm a foreigner, but I live in this counrtry and I am concerned.”

@joanne87781 @94perreaultt Not defending them bc I don’t know them but unfollowing cnn doesn’t necessarily mean anything. All of the legacy media brands are too soft on Trump and the horrible things happening right now, it’s very possible he unfollowed them in that kind of context.
@hildewolls Even if he personally felt any negative feelings about how Mitch left the team it would still be the normal and nice thing to say that he hopes a former teammate is treated with respect. like what else is he gonna say, oh yeah I hate him, bring rocks to throw?
