@jasonoflondon Tedious indeed. Also the fact that literally nothing you say gets listened to until someone hears what they want. Like if someone told me a riveting story about their lifetime spent in East Anglia I don't just ask, being of viking descent, if they like conical helmets and Thor
@wutangclan98 @niall_gooch You may or may not be sympathetic towards her being "traumatised", but calmly and politely explaining you're British isn't causing an "issue" unless you're making it one
@adamboultonTABB@VodafoneGroup Had the same thing with Vodafone. Closed my account, kept being charged, then got referred to debt collectors. Vodafone then said they'd remove the mark on my credit rating - more than a year later and they've not done that
@KateEMcCann@LucyDargahi If you come through to a gov newsdesk the press officer won't be closest to the policy. Ask for a contact on the proactive desk if you want a chat however that press officer will reasonably want an email outlining roughly what the convo is about. Nothing to do with seniority
@jasonoflondon The UK's culture of buying the biggest house you can and keeping it once your kids fly the nest also being a factor. Fun fact: 38% of homes in England have at least 2 spare bedrooms
This makes my blood boil. Chris Whitty didnโt ask to become a household name. He has worked all hours to get our country through this pandemic. He isnโt a politician, heโs a public servant who deserves our respect and thanks
This is a good visual representation of the way the vertical lines of The Cenotaph meet at an imaginary point 100s of feet above ground, while the horizontal lines are curves of a sphere whose centre lies 100s of feet below, together symbolising the union of heaven and earth.
