As a recently qualified Chartered Accountant, I can say that the ICAI has completely diluted the prestige of this course by increasing the pass percentage and the number of attempts. Those who doubt this should step into the market and see the reality themselves.

The people sitting at the helm of affairs of the ICAI (in the so-called Councils) are simply destroying the future of the CA profession and the professionals.

They may even introduce "Monthly CA Exams" in the near future, stating the stale fact that the demand for CAs in India is bright and ever-growing.

These heads are behaving like Muhammad bin Tughluq, the Mad Sultan of Delhi.

The ICAI must immediately revert to 2 Exams /per year and 4 subjects /per group.

The prime objective of ICAI should never be just increasing the number of CAs in India.

Bad days are ahead for the CA profession in India!
