Manuel Pellegrini provided a superb summary of James Milner in a 2015 interview with @sidlowe:
“I’m Milner’s No1 fan. Find me a more complete English player. There are players who’re better technically, yes. Quicker players, yes. Players who head better, yes. But show me one who does all the things Milner does well. There isn’t one.
“It’s hard to leave him out. Respect, commitment and performance level: 10/10, fantastic. He’s polyfunctional: full-back – the only position he doesn’t like – attacking midfield, wide. I played him as a forward and the team averaged three goals a game. He gives everything.
“You leave him on the bench and he’s absolutely furious but watch him during the game: encouraging, shouting, supporting. And in the next training session he kills himself.
“Milner’s a phenomenon, a guy with big balls and a heart this big,” Pellegrini continues, opening out his hands. “Intelligent, great mentality, one of those players that when you leave him out you’re left with this feeling of injustice; it hurts because he should always play.”
To the moaners on here moaning about him before he’s even got the job - what’s not to like? Yes it’s a big step up for him. But I see encouragement, 1 touch passing with intent, players enjoying training & something maybe you should try - positivity. https://t.co/wnwDXyJ8ZZ
@PurelyFootball I remember rating attacking teams in the premier league some years back. I always appreciated the way Arsenal used to play.
Now it's haramball always, poor football, ugly football.
@AnfieldEdition Luis Enrique for sure
However LFC has lost its character because of the departure of some senior players and injuries and wasteful decision to spend 150 on Isak.
Slot will finish fourth this season, last year he won the league
It makes sense to stick with him.

This is one of biggest macroeconomic transformations of modern India under PM @narendramodi 🇮🇳
Before 2016, thousands of villages and millions of Indians still lived without electricity. In last 9-10 years, India wiped out one of the world’s largest electricity deficits. Reliable power supply accelerated agriculture/ industries output, infrastructure, businesses, digital growth and the overall economy.
