An organisation by the name Kanzeon Public Charitable Trust reached Madras high court after their FCRA application was cancelled by home ministry

Shockingly, while the organisation keeps a facade of being a Buddhist meditation centre, court found that the main person behind it is an ordained Christian priest and that the meditation centre prominently displayed a Christian cross alongside a Buddha statue!

The court upheld the rejection. And made a very important observation:

“Religious organisations, whose activities would not affect the nation’s secular fabric and social amity, are entitled to obtain FCRA.....One cannot forget the fact that Christianity is a messianic religion.
