Claude Fable 5 will be available again globally tomorrow.

After a series of productive conversations with the US government, we're redeploying the model with a new set of classifiers to target and block more cybersecurity tasks. In the near term, some routine tasks like coding and debugging will fall back to Opus 4.8. We’ll continue to refine these classifiers over the coming weeks to reduce false positives and better distinguish genuine misuse from legitimate requests.

We’ve also begun drafting a consensus framework—with Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and other Glasswing partners—for assessing the severity of AI jailbreaks and how AI developers should respond to them. We invite other industry partners and model providers to join us in this effort.

Finally, we’re scaling up our collaboration with the US government on model testing and safeguards. This will include pre-release access to models and safeguards for evaluation, information sharing on jailbreaks and misuse, and dedicated resources for joint research.

Sonnet 4.6 has gone to shit last 2 days.Used to face this previously where it hallucinates or gets lazy, but usually for longer tasks. But last 2 days even for bare min tasks too bad

I don't want to sound like a Claude fanboy, but when a generational company is scaling this fast and creating this much value, we can afford to cut them some slack. Everyone has to figure it out in the process.

I feel for Boris and Thariq... almost just the two of them shouldering the entire reputation of Anthropic over here.

But I wonder, if as Dario keeps saying "support jobs already replaced, software being replaced tomorrow" incessantly at every podcast, why Anthropic's support and PR situation is absolutely down the gutter like this?

Can they not make Claude parse all the tweets and figure out what to do? Mythos cannot do 'twitter sentiment analysis'?

meanwhile, their uptime is horrendous, claude code still has rendering bugs, etc.

one could conclude that it won't be the end of software engineering.

anthropic fucking killed it with this. so many people will start using claude.

new feature lets you import your *entire* memory from chatGPT, Gemini etc into Claude so it *instantly* knows everything about you. no more reminding claude who you are.

the best fucking part is it takes literally 60s:

- copy and paste the below prompt into your alternative AI (eg chatgpt)

- paste answer into claude’s “memory” settings and… you’re done.

- Claude immediately picks up from the last conversation you had with it in chatgpt!

the opportunity cost to switch to anthropic just went to zero - their app is currently #1 in the app store
