@RMase05 @Aerotiques @bscholl No, the issue is that the controller is permitted to and did clear the air Canada flight to land and then also initially cleared the fire truck to cross. In the UK/EU, procedures wouldn’t be permitted. One clearance at a time for a runway. The root cause is poor FAA procedures.

As the controller had cleared the air Canada flight to land, in the UK/EU, he couldn’t have initially cleared the fire truck to cross

@bscholl Agree. In the USA, the FAA allows multiple aircraft/vehicles to be cleared to use the same runway, at the same time, based on separation, which is what happened here. This wouldn’t have happened in the UK/EU, as this isn’t permitted. One clearance at a time.

I think the efficiency record for a CCGT in the UK is the new(ish) plant at Keadby, at around 64%. Nevertheless, EVs will always be much more efficient than ICE!
