One of the many reasons why I started learning how to make money while still in school was the situation of the country.

I looked around me, there were more jobless graduates than employed ones. Even the employed ones were not paid well or had to pay heavily to get a “fair” paying job

I didn’t want to graduate and keep relying on my parents for basic things as little as data subscriptions. I started worrying about my life after graduation even before I gained admission into uni.

School is important, but in Nigeria today, your certificate should not be your only plan.

While you’re in school, learn a skill that can make you money:
Graphic design.
Writing.
Video editing.
Coding.
Makeup.
Hairdressing.
Photography.
Social media management.
Forex.
Baking.
Nail tech.
Fashion.
Data Analysis.
Anything to add up to your career path.

It’s difficult combining school stress with work, but you can do it. Don’t wait until after graduation to start figuring life out.

Many graduates are still searching for jobs, but students who learnt valuable skills while in school are already making money, paying their bills, helping their families or even creating jobs for others.

Your certificate can open doors, but your skills can keep those doors open.

Use your free time wisely. Spend less time scrolling and more time learning something that can change your future.

Graduate with a degree and a source of income. That combination is powerful.
