12 having the best chemistry with River when he only has a single episode with her where she doesn’t even know it’s him for most of it is yet further proof that Peter Capaldi is THE goat
Ok, here's why this is the perfect regeneration speech:
1. Not all about him
2. Not too kitsch
3. Incredibly profound message
4. Honored DW and his time aboard the tardis
5. Honored cast mates
6. Doesn't 'go on'. One flash, and he's done
7. Checks to be sure Clara's 👌
Poof
the best thing moffat did in my opinion is make the TARDIS an actual setting in the capaldi era, it’s such a great backdrop for drama between the doctor and his companions
This is where Doctor Who ended for me. The Doctor fought for so long and accepted his life, it was time to rest. Extremely poetic, he CAN change and live on but decides to end.
The overall message behind it, the origin of Faye's final wish, "open your heart", the transition, the fucking music from GOW2018
God, this game is so fucking good
I'm never not gonna be blown away by the fact that they managed to accomplish an ending this emotionally impactful in the main game, only to promptly match it with Valhalla
Since Kratos & Atreus do not meet Faye throughout their whole journey in 2018 & Ragnarok and Faye is trying to meet them to keep her promise Gow Laufey, I wonder if she meets Kratos after he masters Valhalla?
Kratos' dialogue sounds hard because unlike the rest of the insufferable cast, he speaks in a completely different fashion. For one, his dialogue isn't written like he just came out of a New York pizza joint / LA club and comedy bar trying to impress the 3 people watching his IRL livestream
When he closes his eyes and meditates like this, he really does resemble Jedi Master Yoda. He may look like a baby, but he seems to possess a deep and ancient soul.....
There’s a dialogue in the game where Atreus says that his mother wasn’t a goddess and Kratos replies: ‘She was better than a goddess. And you will not dishonor her.’
Now imagine hearing that line, and then the scene cuts to Faye disemboweling gods in the other realm. Oh God.
"You know, your father was Captain of a Starship for 12 minutes. He saved 800 lives, including your mother's ... and yours. I dare you to do better."
Man, he cooked him so hard with that.
