👤: what is your biggest fear?
🐨: My biggest fear is, of course, like losing these guys. I mean, they bother me really much, but I love them, and they’re my endorphins.
happy friendship day, i guess. 🥹

The most powerful part of this decision is that they are no longer asking to be accepted by the industry. They already know their worth as artists and understand that they deserve nothing less than everything they have built and earned throughout the years. 👏💜🔥

"We didn't come to Vegas for the Grammys we came to Vegas for the ARMYS" -Namjoon in 2022
"so please don't forget that, whether we get the grammys or not, we already got what we wanted, and we got you, so that means we got everything" -Namjoon in 2026
And the fact that BTS made their statement in Korean 😎
MAD RESPECT for Bangtan🫡 Because of this ALIENation, creating a whole new category just to put BTS in an “Asian box”, BTS took a stand. This is exactly what “ALIENS” is all about.
Everybody knows BTS is a strong contender at the Grammys for their critically acclaimed album ARIRANG. And by not submitting, they’re sending the loudest message an artist can send: they don’t need a side category to be validated by the West. Yes, BTS dreams of a Grammy. But if that dream means being discriminated against like this, they know it isn’t worth it. Being the FIRST is not always important, but rather, leaving an IMPACT and a LEGACY is what really counts! Bangtan is on the right track💪🏽
“We have decided not to submit for the Grammys this year.
Rather than being categorized by region or language, we hope music can be heard and loved for what it is.
We sincerely thank ARMY and everyone who is always with us.” - BTS July 29, 2026
WE ARE PROUD OF YOU BTS
JUNGKOOK ON IG,
“we have decided not to submit for the grammys this year.
we hope that music can be heard and appreciated for what it is, rather than being defined by region or language.
thank you to ARMY and to everyone who has always supported us.”
BTS are—and will remain—the only ones with the courage to make such a decision. After years of the Grammys benefiting from their global impact, responding by creating a separate category only highlights the treatment they have received. Their decision not to submit what many consider their best album speaks to principles, dignity, and a refusal to settle for half-hearted recognition.

#RM talking about being a leader!
“It’s still hard because I was the first um the member of the team, the band. And the label did give me a lot of burden to put the team together as a team. And we had such different backgrounds from different cities and different tastes, different dreams. So I think I was really like overwhelming or very like a powerful type of like bossy type of leader for the first like eight, 9 years. But as the team got bigger and they have their own names and careers, it just didn't work out anymore. Of course, they grew up a lot also. After that, I've changed the way to communicate. And I think a leader is just like this. For example, everybody is lying on the couch and the window is open and it's too cold. So somebody has to close it but nobody wants to because it's too comfy here lying on the couch, it's so annoying. If one single person has to stand off and get off the couch and walk a few steps to close the door then i think that's what a leader does for every part of the team. That’s all”
