Although Henrietta's cells changed the entire landscape of the medical field and pharmaceutical industry, many of her family members still live in Baltimore without health insurance.🤯

We stopped at the old Hopkins hospital, where she died. She was buried in an unmarked grave up the street near Greenmount Ave. I believe there is also a grave in Roanoke, VA where she was born.

there are so many other factors involved in why churches and religious organizations are not more integrated. quite frankly, most factors probably overlap with reasons that some communities of color still wonder if medical professionals can be trusted.
