@AskKubeir They cannot even provide a button to delete an EOI. Their portal is rudimentary and not designed to keep up with new programs, so they keep using makeshift arrangements to accept candidates. A nomination under any stream still appears as “Skilled Worker in Manitoba.”
@AskKubeir I’ll tell you an open secret: Manitoba can’t keep track of who has already been nominated. There are duplicate EOIs, and some people keep receiving LAAs even after being nominated or becoming permanent residents. Reason, no legit way to delete EOI which only expires in 365 days.
@AskKubeir It looks like the policy is for applicants who received work permits under the 2024 and 2025 temporary policies. I don’t think anyone from the 2024 batch is still awaiting nomination. 2025 applicants already have valid work permits until at least mid 2027, most already nominated
@AskKubeir This is what the Govt of Manitoba suggests when they are unable to process a nomination application on time. This is not the only instance; it has long been a legitimate option in many situations.
Letter from @CILAvoice to @LenaMetlegeDiab@CitImmCanada regarding concerns about the piecemeal release of information about the not yet formalized or existent TR to PR prorgam #cndimm https://t.co/svmX8ZFAff
@AskKubeir Previous years’ work permit policy by MB were not well thought out, which has put us in a severe nomination allocation crisis. MPNP has become one of the worst from from one of the best.
As of April 1, 2026, eligible post-secondary international students who have valid study permits will not need a separate work permit to take part in mandatory placements that are part of their study programs, like co-ops or internships: https://t.co/WatYiRDAjH
@MewiImmigration@CitImmCanada Havnt received any submission confirmation for in-Canada extensions/restorations since November 5, 2025. Although, I am getting confirmations for TRVs and outside Canada applications.
@TTRRMK@CitImmCanada No submission confirmations for the past two days which is causing trouble for those who submitted their PGWP or work permit applications right before expiry.
@nikaduke@TTRRMK@CitImmCanada@grok Never take immigration advice from AI. Its nowhere near perfect yet. Take the time to read and understand the Program Delivery Instructions for PGWP yourself: https://t.co/Tt8cCORxfc
@TTRRMK@CitImmCanada@LenaMetlegeDiab The officers should at least exercise the courtesy of requesting a language test, as the processing times for the PGWP have nearly reached one year, and the applicant is well past the 180-day deadline to reapply if refused.
