One year on and I have to say this thread was prescient. A Starmer government’s likely failings were visible from a hundred miles off. The real questions are why this wasn’t obvious to so many hacks and why he and Labour weren’t scrutinised rather more seriously.

Well I'm sure the Labour leadership is going to double down on their direction and ignore the impact of their policies like WFA and PiP cuts and at the same time chasing those Reform voters who will never vote for them. It's so predictable and short sighted. But they wont learn.
