Chinese models will eventually win on price against US models. The argument that sending data to China is somehow worse than sending it to the US won’t be convincing enough for most people, though for me it still is.
I ran Homer for my homelab dashboard for a while. Loved that it was just one YAML file.
So I rebuilt it. Meet Strata: still YAML driven, but with live status + latency for every service and an in-page live preview of each app. Mobile first, open source.

build an agent that you hook it up and just keep assigning, I did autoreview which made my whole life easier. I just hook it up everywhere and it just works & the best part is that I control it and I make it behave the way I want!
it's actually smart what Chinese model creators are doing.. they distill the best models over and over and they get crazy good quality, that should actually be happening to proprietary models as well (if it's not happening)
farm is my tmux setup for running agent work in parallel.
32 panes, queues, crash/reboot resume, status dashboard, and shipyard wired in for task → PR-ready flow.
I use it every day now.

having a DECO mesh system for wifi at home is one of the best choices you make if you want full control & stability.
I run a NAS that I host plex and other storage related backups and I hooked up a Raspberry PI to make encrypted DNS and AdBlock at the dns level. I keep loving it!🥰
if you want full local dictation in you machine for your LLMs, Emailing, chatting or anything else that works realtime and is dead simple, https://t.co/O59DF20aDm does a very good job + it's privacy first all local.
now we have advanced shotport and guiport to a better level, cross platform + a bunch of new features and capabilities added to each to be drived from agents for computer use and automations!
fable is not too capable now, every time you want to do something more complicated that you flex the model it does complain that it switched to opus 4.8 as we are trying to do some jailbreaking. seems the patch to fable is too strict to the level it dropped the capabilities
@FredWanders@WisprFlow I built ChirpGo for this: offline macOS voice-to-text that types into any app and never sends audio to the cloud. I can send a short checklist to verify the install, privacy settings, mic selection and global shortcut.
