I am writing to express my concerns regarding the presence and activities of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in Bangladesh. Many citizens feel that ISKCON's mission and practices could pose challenges to our social harmony and national integrity.

There are apprehensions that ISKCON, with its substantial financial resources, is targeting vulnerable communities, particularly lower-income Hindus, to gain influence. This raises concerns about the potential for social division and the undermining of our nation’s values, given that Bangladesh is predominantly a Muslim country, with around 91% of its population identifying as such.

Moreover, there are fears that ISKCON's overarching goals may not align with the interests of an independent Bangladesh. Some citizens worry that their activities may be aimed at destabilizing our cultural and religious fabric, and even at promoting integration with India, which could threaten our sovereignty.

In light of these concerns, I urge the government to carefully evaluate the activities of ISKCON and consider measures to monitor or regulate their operations in our country. It is crucial to ensure that all organizations operating within our borders respect our national identity and contribute positively to our society.
